AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT drops to $399, RX 5700 now $349

It was not unreasonable to suppose that AMD might revisit Navi pricing after NVIDIA’s RTX 2060/2070 SUPER launch on July 2nd, and after some rumors/leaks about the new prices we have official word from AMD via their official Radeon Twitter account.

The new pricing starts with $50 price cuts to the Radeon RX 5700 XT, standard and 50th Anniversary Edition, which are now $399 and $449 respectively. The RX 5700 also drops, though less significantly, to $349. Is this enough to compete with the RTX “super” cards? We must wait until 7/7 for the answer.

"AMD embraces competition, which drives innovation to the benefit of gamers. In that spirit, we’re updating the pricing for Radeon RX 5700 Series graphics cards."

I know you’re probably pretty busy at the moment Sebastian, so please allow me to save you some time and write the review conclusion.

5700XT performance is 5 to 10 percent quicker than the 2060 super, but with worse power draw. Likewise with the 5700 and 2060. The end.

    Loving the new site BTW…

Thanks! I wish I could take credit for the site design, so I will. It was all my idea and it’s fantastic.

As to your mini-review, I like the brevity. Concise. Pithy. Maybe a little edgy. Factual? Who can say.

Keep it up and I may have to hire you. 🙂
