A Newly BIOSed Look At The Ryzen 9 3900X
Meesa Like The New AGESA
The FPS Review is revisiting the Ryzen 9 3900X on their MSI MEG Godlike motherboard, now that they have the v1.3 UEFI BIOS with uses AGESA 1.0.0.3 patch AB. As it is not yet available to the public, this will be a first look at what the new patch can do for you once released to the public. The performance changes are minimal, however they were able to hit the advertised Boost Clock more reliably, though the processor did consume more power than they previously saw it do in order to maintain that frequency.
There are still more updates to be done, but this review shows that we are headed in the right direction.
The Ryzen 9 3900X BIOS issues have been posted all over the web. We thought we’d chime in on those issues with a new BIOS version from MSI and re-test CPU performance.
