Gaming The Laptop Market

One Size Does Not Fit All

There is still a huge market for gaming laptops, regardless of the lack of upgradability and the extra costs involved in compacting a gaming PC into a reasonably portable form.  This is quite obvious by the huge amount of products lines on the market; someone must be buying them or there would not be so many.  This excess of choice can make shopping for a new gaming laptop a daunting task, but it is one which Ars Technica is up for.

Join them as they take a high level look at the features, delving into monitor refresh rate features including variable refresh rates, how buying the newest generation of mobile GPU might not be your best choice and even suggestions on porting the thing around once you have purchased it.  The article wraps up with a few suggested models, for those that prefer to skip to the end first.

Welcome to Ars Gaming Week 2019! As a staff full of gamers and game-lovers, we'll be serving up extra reviews, guides, interviews, and other stories all about gaming from August 19 to August 23.
