Cortana, Are Windows 10 Updates A Joke To You?
Thankfully Some Improvements Aren’t Simply Cosmetic
Windows 10 Build 18956 is arriving for those on the Fast Ring, including The Register who took a look at the upcoming update. If you are looking for improvements that actually have an effect, then the changes to the Networking page will be of the most interest to you. The layout has been significantly improved and now offers information on which adapters are active, instead of listing them all with no indicators and you can once again get details on the usage of those connections.
As for the other improvements, they seem to be focused on convincing you to stop disabling Cortana. Check out more information in their post.
Indeed, File Explorer has received plenty of fixes this time out, with the lauded search function getting attention. A crash when searching the OneDrive folder (when OneDrive isn't running) is fixed as well as the potentially embarrassing bug that left recent searches visible even when turned off via group policy.
