AMD Processors Surface In Microsoft’s New Laptop
Surface 3 Will Offer You More Choice
The Inquirer has found proof in a database of European retailers that the rumours that the next generation of Microsoft’s Surface devices will offer buyers the choice between Intel and AMD processors. They found three AMD-based models of the 15″ Surface Laptop 3 listed in that database which is an interesting choice from Microsoft and very good news for AMD. There are likely to be other models using Intel Ice Lake or Comet Lake but the inclusion of new Ryzen processors may do interesting things to the price and performance of those three models.
We don’t have details about the specific models of Ryzen chips which are being used at this time, but we won’t have to wait too long as the new Surface devices are scheduled to be officially revealed at the beginning of October.
So that's a 15in Surface Laptop model likely powered by mobile takes on AMD's third-generation Ryzen CPUs. Hmm... interesting.
