A Small System Still Wants Power

Those who like build SFF PCs’s sometimes had to choose external PSUs to be able to build a tight little system, until the rise of the SFX PSU market which has grown in the past few years.  Fitting 700W of power in a roughly 4″ long body while keeping the noise down is not an easy task but SilverStone did accomplish it with the SX-700G, managing an 80 PLUS GOLD rating to boot.  It is more expensive than it’s larger cousins, but for an SFX PSU of this wattage $164 is a competitive price.

This particular unit is probably a bit more interesting than the most recent SilverStone unit we saw (ST1000-PTS) as the SFX, fanless, and just unique markets are where SilverStone has been a star for years.
