BitFenix isn’t meshing around, adds addressable RGB LED fans

BitFenix recently launched a new midtower NOVA Mesh TG case that refines the clean if a bit boxy NOVA chassis adding a large dust filtered mesh front panel, noise dampening material, four ARGB fans, and more angular feet.

The NOVA Mesh TG measures 210 x 460 x 437mm (WHD) and supports motherboards up to shorter E-ATX (272mm / 10.7”) boards. BitFenix has moved the front IO (two USB 3.0, two audio jacks, and power and reset buttons) to the top edge versus the NOVA leaving the front solely to airflow with a high-density mesh panel with removeable magnetic nylon filter that can support up to three 120mm fans or 360mm radiators up to 35mm thick. Two 120mm fans (or 27mm thick 240mm radiators) can be installed up top along with a single 120mm fan in rear. BitFenix has placed padding between the chassis and the side panels to reduce noise caused by fan vibrations. The right side panel is flat metal but the left side panel is a 4mm smoked tempered glass panel secured with four thumb screws.

On the inside the case has a basic layout with CPU cutout and grommets for routing cables. BitFenix claims 23mm of clearance behind the motherboard for cable management as well as hiding away three 2.5” SSDs. The case supports CPU coolers up to 160mm tall and graphics cards up to 340mm long. There are seven PCI slots though if you want to vertically mount your GPU you will need to do a bit of modding.

The NOVA Mesh TG comes with four BitFenix Spectra A-RGB (22dB(A)) fans that can be chained together and are compatible with A-RGB header equipped motherboards like Asus’ Aura Sync.

Available in black or white, the NOVA Mesh TG is priced between $70 and $87 online at time of writing putting it at a slight premium over its predecessors. If addressable RGB LEDs are important to you though, the slight upgrade may be worth it.

"BitFenix NOVA MESH TG is an all-rounder offering great airflow coupled with modern elegant design which makes it an ideal choice for most user scenarios. With clean interior, optimized airflow and extensive compatibility, the NOVA MESH offers a great balance in performance and looks in it’s class. It is specifically design with ease of use in mind with easy installation and maintenance features."
