RTX – Remastered Times Ten?

Making Old Games Shiny
You have probably seen the Quake II RTX demo, if not played it at this point, which adds ray tracing to the old game in a very effective manner, making it quite a sight to behold. It seems that this is not the only game which will receive the ray tracing treatment as there is a job posting at Nvidia Lightspeed Studios which has revealed a PC classics RTX remastering program in the works. This is not just good news for gamers, it might even be a job opportunity for someone with the right skill set!
HEXUS mentioned Half-Life 2, Doom 3, and Portal as possible candidates, basing the supposition on the fact that Lightspeed Studios have already worked with these games to bring them to the Android OS. Interesting times to come for those of us with fond memories of classic games and for those who never played them but are willing to accept the quality of textures that existed then in order to see new technology revitalize the old classics.
Thus, we’ll be giving them state-of-the-art visuals while keeping the gameplay that made them great. The Nvidia Lightspeed Studios team is picking up the challenge starting with a title that you know and love but we can't talk about here.
