The Force Is Not Strong In This One
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Expectations
The reviews for the new Star Wars game are not great; not horrible or completely negative, just not great. For many Star Wars fans this is disappointing but not shocking as it is a continuation of a situation we have become accustomed to. Rock, Paper, SHOTGUN had fun playing, but never felt it added much to the Star Wars universe nor did it try anything truly unique. It seems that for the most part the customization options for your lightsaber are aesthetic only and do not really have any effect on gameplay. That said, Star Wars fans should still consider picking it up, as it has been a very long time since the last single player from this franchise was released and even stale blue milk is better than no milk at all.
If I was a heartless marketing vulture, I would force my rudderless peons to call it a “Starwarsvania” on all outgoing press releases. I would say things like “It is Uncharted 4 meets Sekiro meets the old Jedi Knight games, which I’ve been told were good.”
