Corsair this week announced another addition to its expanding portfolio of technology companies: SCUF Gaming. Founded in 2011, SCUF Gaming offers a range of high-end controllers for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. The company states that its controllers’ build quality, performance, and customizability make it popular among professional gamers.

In comparison to generic game controllers, SCUF controllers are modular by feature and design, built to specification to shorten hand movements and gain a measurable performance advantage, making it easier for players to tailor the controller to their individual preferences. SCUF controllers feature a vast range of configurable components, including a patented paddle control system, removable back paddles, a quick-access remapping switch, customizable thumbsticks, hair trigger, trigger stops and extenders, choice of D-pads, and an interchangeable magnetic faceplate.

Corsair states that SCUF Gaming will continue to operate as a separate brand out of its Atlanta headquarters and regional offices, and that all existing SCUF warranties and support will remain unaffected by the change in ownership. Corsair expects to complete the acquisition by the end of the year.

Corsair has made several major acquisitions in recent years, notably acquiring Origin PC in July 2019 and Elgato in June 2018.
