The ASUS U32 20G SuperSpeed USB Enclosure

We have been making a bit of fun over the naming of USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 as well as the fact that while all USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 products use the Type-C connector, not all USB-C ports can provide 20Gbps.  Until now we haven’t been able to see it in action however; a problem which Legit Reviews solved with their review of the ASUS U32 20G paired with a Samsung 970 EVO M.2 drive

Internally the 970 EVO hit 3500 MB/s read and 3300MB/s write, once installed in then enclosure they saw sequential read/write speeds of about 2100 MB/s, impressive to see from external storage!

USB 3.0 (5Gbps) is now called USB 3.2 Gen 1. USB 3.1 (10Gbps) is called USB 3.2 Gen 2. The newest and fastest version of USB 3.2 is called USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 (20Gbps). It is able to reach this speed by using two USB 3.2 Gen 2 lanes. All USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 products use the Type-C connector, but not all USB-C ports are capable of reaching 20Gbps.

very very cool, achieving about 2GB/s over usb is a feat

i found it shocking that asus is claiming that they will most likely price the enclosure at about $40. I was expecting like $100-$150.
