Archetype Entertainment Gains Another Big Name

WotC Add Another BioWare Alumni To Their Stable
Archetype Entertainment intends to revive the original BioWare and release a Sci-Fi RPG at some point in the future. They already have two people with impressive credentials and today they’ve added another. Drew Karpyshyn is another old name from BioWare, serving as a writer for such classics as Mass Effect 1 and 2, Baldur’s Gate and KOTOR and will now become the lead writer at Archetype.
It is far too early to say what this studio’s products will be like nor do we have any idea of a time frame for release but the blog post that Rock, Paper, SHOTGUN displays at the end gives you an idea why these genre veterans are joining forces at a new studio.
It’s a team that’s geared towards bringing back the good parts of BioWare and steering away from what the studio became, as Karpyshyn says that they ended up so “corporate” they could no longer make the games they wanted.
