Samsung’s T7 Touch, 1TB Of Portable NVMe

As Small As It Is Fast
The T7 Touch measures a mere 85 x 57 x 8mm and weighs 58g but is able to transfer files over it’s USB 3.2 Gen 2 connection at 949MB/s assuming your source can feed it data that quickly. If you have a device with a compatible USB port, be it Windows 7, Mac OS X 10.10 or Android 5.1 as well as all the newer versions of those OSes, you will be able to plug the T7 in and get at your data. It is even a secure way to share data, encryption protection of the drive is built in and the fingerprint sensor can authenticate with up to four separate fingerprints so you can even share it with friends and family.
Kitguru takes a look at the performance as well as the novel cooling solutions Samsung’s new portable NVMe drive makes use of in this review.
The T7 Touch is the latest addition to Samsung’s stable of external SSDs. The palm-sized drive features NVMe technology, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface and a fingerprint scanner for extra security. Priced at just under £200 for the 1TB model, is this the right external drive for you?
