Palit’s Passively Cooled GTX 1650 KalmX
Keep KalmX And Push Pixels
Take a look at the size difference between the heatsink and PCB on this 7″ long, dual slot passively cooled GTX 1650. Palit did not reduce any of the specification of the card, the Boost Clock is still 1665 MHz and the 4GB of GDDR5 at 8GHz, which is a good thing considering what an odd duck the GTX 1650 is overall.
Guru’s testing showed that you do want at least some airflow over this card, without any it quickly hit 83C and started to throttle, however even with a minimum of airflow the card stayed under 80C and performed as expected. Interestingly, with good airflow you can actually overclock the card; the Guru of 3D managed to hit a fairly stable Boost Clock of 1925 MHz and a memory clock of 9032MHz which did have an effect on performance.
If you are looking for a passively cooled card this is one of the few current(ish) generation cards on the market; available for around $180.

In this review, we look at the Palit KalmX edition of the GeForce GTX 1650. It's a passively cooled product that was designed for users on a budget, the card breathes and oozes that. This model comes with a rather extraordinary cooler in a rather small compact design.
