MSI’s Affordable Optix MAG301CR Ultrawide 200Hz Display
A Lot Under The Hood For $350
MSI today announced their Optix MAG301CR, a 30″ gaming display for not a lot of money. The display offers a 21:9 2560×1080 resolution on it’s 1ms response VA screen and it is capable of supporting refresh rates of up to 200Hz with FreeSync; it is a little early yet to confirm it is G-SYNC compatible though it would be reasonable to expect it is. The curvature on the panel is 1800R, which is a good choice for a monitor of this size.
The monitor also offers impressive outputs, including a single USB 3.2 Gen1 Type B, two USB 3.2 Gen1 Type A and headphones while the inputs span a DP 1.2a, a pair of HDMI 2.0b and a single USB Type C configured as a DP source. The OSD features the newest of MSI’s Gaming features and the back of the monitor sports Mystic Light so your display can provided backlight synced to what is being displayed on your screen.
Widescreen of that size at that resolution?
You must be joking, Needs to be 1440p or forget it.
