The Elgato WAVE:3 is more than just a swanky looking USB-C microphone, it also offers built in mixing features to combine other audio sources with your voice as well as properly defining your volume and gain and offers clipguard.  It is a cardiod condenser microphones with a maximum sample rate of 96kHz, which will help reduce random room noise.

Physically you will see three settings on the front of the mic which are MIC, Headset, and MIX/PC Mix which you can switch between by clicking the button just below, which also functions as your volume control.  The back has a headphone jack and the USB connector, Elgato was kind enough to include a 2 metre long cord.  At the top is a mute button you can easily toggle on and off.
