Survival Of The Fittest Radeon RX 5600 XT

There are enough different models of Radeon RX 5600 XT on the market to make even Baskin Robbins proud, which can present a problem if you are shopping for one.  TechSpot have had the pleasure of benchmarking just about every model and took a look at their findings to offer their thoughts on which ones to choose and which ones to avoid.  The close proximity in price to certain models of RX 5700’s makes this task a little more difficult, as no matter how impressive the RX 5600 XT is the RX 5700 has 8GB of RAM compared to the 6GB on the RX 5600 XT.

With this in mind they picked three models, a best value card, the highest performance and for SFF fans, the best of the compact models.  Three different third party providers get the nod, Sapphire offers the best value while MSI takes top performer and PowerColor offers the best compact model.  Read the full review for details on the exact models chosen and why, as well as the models they recommend you avoid unless you can get a great deal on them.

We've have on hand nearly every Radeon RX 5600 XT graphics card model in existence. We've tested them and now we want to share what are the best models, and more importantly, which one you should (and shouldn't) buy.

Regardless of memory type used, I will never be able to wrap my head around the value proposition of the 5600XT. RX5700 cards are $20-$30 more, and occasionally there are sales that make it a $10 difference. While I recognize that $30 can be a huge difference in the sub $180 market, the difference between $280 and $310 is negligible for a noticeable and significant performance increase. You also get 2GB more RAM for that money.
