Huawei FreeBuds 3i TWS; Not Quite Free As A Bird

BTW, These Too Are Not Fake Apple AirPods

While it certainly comes as a disappointment to a certain few, true wireless earbuds with active noise cancellation are not the sole purview of Apple.  HTC have a model as does Huawei.  It is the Huawei models that Kitguru took a look at recently, testing them out to see if they are as good as the competition.   The FreeBuds 3i TWS earphones sport a 10mm dynamic driver and a triple microphone system which has been implemented quite well from the results of the tests they ran.

The active noise cancellation worked well and even functions during phone calls which is a rather important for both sides of the conversation.  One nice feature they discovered was the ability to set up gestures on whichever earbud you want, instead of being stuck with the setup that came from the factory.  They are also comfortable at least in their ears, the only negative being a rather flat bass response.

Regardless of what US Customs might think, these are not knockoffs which need to be detained either.

As you may know we absolutely love tech here at KitGuru, but we’re not going to be talking about PC peripherals today as we’re checking out some wireless earbuds! In for review are the Huawei FreeBuds 3i, with active noise cancelling, sleek aesthetics and a £90 price point.
