A Real Reason To Become A Microsoft Insider – Microsoft Flight Simulator VR closed beta
There Are A Few Hoops To Fly Through Before You Can Try
Interested in trying out the VR version of the new Microsoft Flight Simulator, as there is a closed beta you can try to get into which HEXUS spotted. It is a closed beta and so there are a few qualifications you need to meet in order to apply to participate, the first of which is to be a Windows Insider. While that won’t cost you anything but the second qualifier will, you need to own a Windows Mixed Reality headset such as the Lenovo Explorer, the Samsung Odyssey or the upcoming HP Reverb. You will have to wait for the second round if you own a different VR Headset.
In addition you will have to provide a DXDiag to prove you meet their minimum hardware requirements:
- OS: Windows 10 (November 2019 Update – 1909)
- DirectX: DirectX 11
- CPU: i5-8400/Ryzen 5 1500X
- GPU: Nvidia GTX 1080 or equivalent
- VRAM: 8 GB
- RAM: 16 GB
- HDD: 150 GB
- Bandwidth: 5 Mbps
If you meet all those qualifications, and own the new Flight Sim of course, then you can head over here to apply.
Asobo Studios, the team behind Microsoft Flight Simulator, have announced that people can sign up for the forthcoming Microsoft Flight Simulator VR closed beta. This will be the public's first chance to try out this well received simulator in its most immersive form. The announcement was made last week in a Developer Q&A session
