Here’s An RX 6800 XT You Really Can’t Buy!

Considering how rare finding an RX 6800 XT for sale is, it is safe to assume a watercooled variant will be even harder to find.   If you do manage to track one down, there is a premium price attached to your find, expect to pay $900 for the privilege of owning it.  On the plus side it will come with a base clock of 2110 MHz, boosting to 2360 MHz, thought the RAM remains at the standard 2000 MHz.

In order to get a firm grip on the performance benefits of the RX 6800 XT STRIX OC TechPowerUp tested dozens of games and saw a bit of a bump in performance compared to a standard RX 6800 XT, but nowhere near enough to be the main reason to justify the high price.  The overclocking potential adds a bit to this card, they hit a stable in game average of 2743 MHz, with the memory bumped up to  2140 MHz.  That gained them a ~10% increase in performance compared to the card right out of the box, which is impressive but it is still hard to recommend spending almost 50% more to grab this particular card.

Check out more details on how this card performs, the noise produced and if it is something worth looking into, or if you are better off hunting a different model of RX 6800 XT, of which there are a number of new models up for review below.  Good luck finding one!

The ASUS Radeon RX 6800 XT STRIX OC LC comes with an integrated 240 mm watercooling unit, which achieves outstanding temperatures. We found unbelievable overclocking potential on our sample, much better than all the other RX 6800 XT cards we've tested before.
