Guess What A VAXEE ZYGEN NP-01 Is
Zowie Batman! That’s A Gaming Mouse!
VAXEE is a new branch of Zowie, a company you are far more likely to associate with gaming mice. It was formed by several people at Zowie who have found that the more laps around the sun they completed the less time they spent playing CS:GO and other fast paced games. That is not to say they gave them up, Internet Oracle forbid, merely that branching out into designing more mature peripherals made sense.
To ensure no one thinks they have completely abandoned K/D ratios, they teamed up with ZYGEN, run by former pro CS player noppo, to design the NP-01 gaming mouse. On this mouse you will find no RGBs, a software suite that favours function over form and no buttons which refuse to remap to the function of your choice. Instead, you will get a PixArt PMW3389 sensor, Huano switches, a 24 step scroll wheel and a nice robust cord.
While the design is not without issues, for instance that aforementioned scroll wheel, there is a lot to like about the mouse including impressively low click latency. The full details are available at TechPowerUp.
The NP-01 is the first mouse release by VAXEE, which was founded by several former Zowie employees. Still true to the no-frills approach, the right-handed ergonomic NP-01 focuses on performance over software or RGB lighting. To that end, it is equipped with PixArt's PMW3389 sensor and Huano switches for the main buttons, and capable of extensive on-device configuration.
