Fallout New Vegas – The Frontier Drops On Friday

Now That’s A Total Conversion!

There is a lot to be excited about leading up to the release of The Frontier, a huge total conversion mod for Fallout New Vegas.  The mod will feature With 3 major questlines for the NCR, the Legion, and the Crusaders of Steel, with over 50 side quests to keep you occupied when you don’t feel like advancing the plot.   That will give you a long play time but isn’t the most impressive thing about this mod.

Weather will be coming to Fallout, with blizzards, fog, thunder and more making an appearance just in case your day isn’t interesting enough as it is.  The skybox has been replaced with upgraded textures and lighting and will support HDR to make it even prettier.  The mod also brings vehicles into the game, you will be able to drive not just tanks and cars but there is also mention of aerial dogfighting.  Those who like proper boss battles and arena combat will be happy to see their inclusion as well.

As you should expect there will be new weapons and enemies to fight, as well as proper cutscenes and new dialogue to entertain you while you are not traipsing through the wilderness trying to depopulate it of nasty critters.  You can grab it from Steam on Friday if you don’t want to play with a mod manager.

The Frontier is a fan made modification for Obsidian Entertainment's Fallout: New Vegas. Fight in the frozen and snowy wastes of Portland Oregon under the banner of the New California Republic, Caesars Legion, or the Crusaders of Steel.

Good luck Jeremy, I’ve been a gamer and a New Vegas fan with PS4 since it’s inception.
I am new to the PC genre, I hope you and other fans of this format will give me tips on how to use it on a computer (a PC).
I have donated to you through the same website and looking so again is assistance is provided.

Cool, although the “frozen and snowy” wastes of Portland, Oregon is laughable. I live here in Portland. We see snow about once or twice per decade, and it’s usually just a few inches.

Its after the nukes. With nuclear fallout it we could easily be closer to Antarctica than current Oregon.

Her in Salem it was gorgeous today actually 😁

Good point. The nukes could change the weather, hadn’t thought of it from that perspective. And LOL yeah yesterday was pretty nice here in Portland, too. 55 degrees I believe.

I live there too lol. But the snow and weather is caused by nuclear winter not just the local climate, according to what I read about it.

“The mod will feature With 3 major questlines for the NCR, the Legion, and the Crusaders of Steel, . . . ”

I’m no expert, but I’m pretty sure it’s “Brotherhood of Steel” not “Crusaders”. Or are they a rogue faction of the Brotherhood or something?

So it is out on Nexus and they’ve a torrent.

You need to be level 12 to trigger the start, rest outside for 12 hours for someone to show up.

“The recommended level is 11+, and we provide a quick start option for levels 12,17 and 20.”
