Take A Moment And Grab 461.09

These new WHQL drivers don’t have much in the way of performance updates but do not let that convince you to skip this one and wait for the next one.  Instead, you want to grab this as it will provide you with over a dozen security fixes, which is in a way even better than a bit more performance from your current game of choice.

A number of the fixes are at the kernel level and will protect you from denial of service, escalation of privileges, and information disclosure vulnerabilities.  Getting a new nvlddmkm.sys installed should be a high priority.  This isn’t just for gamers either, as there are another set of vulnerabilities tied to the vGPU features NVIDIA cards offer so update if you are on a Tesla or Quadro as well.

They just launched yesterday, so make sure you are up to date.
