Corsair have updated their Vengeance RGB Pro family, with an SL model that is only 44mm in height which will help with motherboards that have their RAM close to the socket, or those with heatsinks large enough to impede even spacious motherboards.  Apart from the low profile these kits are rated the same as their taller counterparts; DDR4-3600 @ 18-22-22-42.

Though they are lower in stature the RGBs glow just as bright, so don’t worry about dim DIMMs and the rainbow foil on the sides will make them sparkle even brighter.  They aren’t just pretty either, Neoseeker spent quite a bit of time overclocking this kit and were more than impressed with the results.  At XMP timings the kit was stable up to DDR4-4000 and could likely manage DDR4-4200 if you are willing to overvolt.

When delving into timings they went quite deep, not just adjusting CAS but tREFI, tRFC and many others, finally seeing memory latency under 60ns with 10,000 GB/s read, and over 100,000 GB/s write and copy.  At around $230 for a 32GB kit it is not overly expensive, making the Vengeance RGB Pro SL even more attractive.

The Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro SL is a noteworthy successor to the past Vengeance models. The new heatsink design is unique and gives a fun side-view aesthetic, while giving enough space for good heat dissipation.
