Oh Look, A Bloodthirster! Total War Warhammer 3 Announced
This Cathay Is Not Pacific
The world of Warhammer Total War is expanding once again, as Creative Assembly announce the coming of Total War Warhammer the third, which will, soon after release, integrate with the first two games to provide a ludicrously huge map to exert your dominance over. Poppa Nurgle makes the initial appearance in the trailer but the other three Chaos gods quickly follow so you just know the party is going to get out of hand quickly.
Kislev have decided not to sit this one out and have saddled up their polar bears to stem the tide of Chaos from the north, they are the main focus of the new trailer. As for the map, we see a reveal of the lands of Cathay towards the end of the trailer which will mean a fairly large increase in the size of the map if you plan to eventually play a campaign spanning all three games, not to mention the chance play with to the armies of the Dragon Emperor. At release the game will be similar to the second, featuring a campaign specific to the new game, with integration into the Mortal Empires campaign map happening some time after launch.
There is a good chance we might see Chaos Dwarfs and Ogres, or possibly even Chaos Undivided might make an appearance. You can take a peek at the trailer over at Rock, Paper, SHOTGUN while you wait patiently for the release which should be some time late this year. Here’s hoping it doesn’t lead to release from Smegmar and the Sigmarines.
Total Warhammer 3 will come to Epic as well as Steam, and they plan to bring the first two over too. If you already own either on Steam, it's probably best to stick to Steam as you won't have access to the others or their DLC on Epic.
