Check Out The RX 6800 And 6800 XT

Tweaktown have published a pair of reviews, one covering both the the SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon RX 6800 XT and non-XT GPUs.  The cards both benefit from Tri-X Cooling, which includes proper thermal pads for your memory, MOSFET and chokes with two heatpipes to move that heat away.  The fans are custom designed to be both effective and quiet as do the V shaped WAVE Fins on the heatsinks.  The cards are also festooned with controllable RGBs.

In their testing the NITRO+ Radeon RX 6800 was able to meet or beat the RTX 3070 before manual overclocking, once that was done they were able to almost match the more expensive RX 6800 XT.  The 6800 XT was able to push past the RTX 3080 when manually overclocked and matched it out of the box.  Tweaktown did find that this is not the best 6800 XT card they’ve tested, but the margins are so small it is unlikely anyone would notice.

As has been the case since launch, the cards are rarer than hen’s teeth, so if you see one while you are shopping, grab it!

SAPPHIRE's custom NITRO+ Radeon RX 6800 XT goes under the review microscope, another kick ass custom Big Navi graphics cards.
