Surviving Mars Lives On
And It Is Free Until March 18th On Epic
If you have any love of city builders then pick up Surviving Mars from the Epic store today and tomorrow, and consider dropping a bit of cash on the DLCs while they are 50% off. It is a relatively complex game, after all Mars is a little less hospitable than Mesopotamia or even a prehistoric village. The game is a little less scripted than Frostpunk, but also offers you more interesting options to improve and defend your settlement in the later stages of the game.
The game is currently free but that doesn’t mean it has hit the end of it’s life. In fact the current devs, Paradox Interactive, have hired a games studio called Abstraction to continue development of this game. Even if you find that you don’t love the game, it hasn’t cost you anything to try it so check it out.
The tourism update is free and allows visitors to your colony to give their stay a Holiday Experience Rating, which players can improve by building new hotels, zero-G amusement parks, and constructing a safari route for Rovers to drive around.
