Thermaltake TOUGHRAM XG RGB Wants To Light Up Your Life

Thermaltake have updated their memory offerings with TOUGHRAM XG RGB kits which offer frequencies all the way up to DDR4-4000.  Today TechPowerUp took a look at their 16GB dual channel DDR4-3600 kit, running with XMP timings of 18-19-19-39 @ 1.35 V.  The timings aren’t particularly tight, but then again that was not the focus of this completely RGB’d kit.

There are three lighting zones on each and every DIMM with diffusers to spread out the illumination, not to mention a two toned aluminium heatspreaders.  The RGBs can be controlled with Thermaltake’s RGB PLUS software or you could use your motherboard’s software or even control it with Alexa voice commands over a voice compatible controller.

XMP performance was exactly as expected, though the overclocking potential of the DIMMs is somewhat limited, TPU managed 3700 MHz on their Intel testbed and 4000 MHz on AMD, which won’t help unless you can overclock the processor to match that frequency.  Drop by to take a peek at the pretty lights and detailed performance results.

Thermaltake is back with another bold design! The new Thermaltake TOUGHRAM XG RGB features a sleek two-tone heatspreader with four distinct RGB diffusion zones. Of course, looks aren't everything, so let's dive in and see what kind of performance the Thermaltake TOUGHRAM XG RGB has to offer!
