A Fancy White Mic With Something To Gain

The NZXT Capsule is a condenser cardiod microphone with a frequency response that ranges between 20Hz to 20kHz and peak quality of 24-bit/96kHz.   It ships with a three metre USB-C to USB-A cable connection, which should let you place it wherever you like with ease, the pop filter is built in, and mount is shock resistant.  That mount is also easily removable if you already have a favourite mount you would prefer to use.

There is a headphone jack on the bottom capable of providing 16ohms and will allow you to directly monitor your audio quality, which according to KitGuru is quite good.  The setup is very easy and the white design is quite unique and could add something to your video as well as audio.  The one drawback is the gain control, which spins infinitely and thus it is hard to know where it is set, and is also a bit wobbly.

The video review reveals the audio quality of the NZXT Capsule, if you are inclined to check it out.

NZXT – yes, the case manufacturer! – is aiming to take the world by storm with its brand-new USB microphone called the Capsule, coming in at £109.99. Is their first dedicated microphone any good though? Let’s check it out!
