CES 2022 Probably Should Have Been Virtual From the Start

AMD has cancelled their in-person presence at CES 2022, as reported by Reuters, with an AMD spokesperson stating “our in-person engagements will now transition to virtual in the best interest of the health and safety of our employees, partners, and communities”.

Add AMD to the list of in-person cancellations that already included big corporate names like Intel, Microsoft, Google, and Amazon. Some additional names in the PC hardware industry have pulled out as well, including Lenovo, MSI, and HyperX. With the show scheduled for January 5 – 8, there isn’t much time left for more companies to follow suit.
