We aren’t quite done with CES 2022 coverage, and Intel is making things very interesting after their latest video. In it, marketing specialist Cassandra Bodzak provides a virtual tour of the “Client Collaboration Experience at CES 2022”, which “includes new 12th Gen Intel Core mobile and desktop processors, Intel Evo, vPro, Wi-Fi 6E, Thunderbolt 4 – and a sneak peek at the Intel NUC 12 Extreme”.

The video is embedded below:

If you advance to the 4m 54s mark (YouTube shortcut here) the NUC 12 Extreme “sneak peak” begins. Code named “Dragon Canyon”, the NUC 12 Extreme uses Intel’s socketed 12th Gen desktop Core i9 and Core i7 processors.

A close inspection of the features listed on the board show Intel Wi-Fi 6E, Thunderbolt 4, 10GbE LAN, and USB 3.2 Gen2, among other things. A vapor chamber is displayed along with the blower-style cooler for the CPU, and the memory is (thankfully) DDR4, so it will be easy to source.

The Dragon Canyon NUC “should be available by Q1, this year”.
