During a short on-stage preview of the upcoming “KS” processor in the 12th Gen family, it was shown to be capable of single-core frequencies of 5.5 GHz (out of the box), with all-core frequencies of 5.2 GHz shown during Hitman 3 gameplay:

It’s been more than two years since the Core i9-9900KS processor launched with its staggering 5 GHz all-core speeds out of the box, and I for one can’t wait to (hopefully) get my hands on the latest iteration of the Kentucky Shrout processor, which is going to be found in OEM systems “by the end of this quarter”.
