CES 2022: NVIDIA Announces Desktop RTX 3050, Mobile RTX 3070 Ti and RTX 3080 Ti
New Desktop and Mobile GPUs Announced
In what has been a busy start to CES 2022, NVIDIA has made a number of announcements on the gaming front in their GeForce RTX Special Address, including the new RTX 3050 desktop GPU and a pair of new mobile “Ti” GPUs.

“To kick off 2022, NVIDIA is: announcing over 160 new GeForce RTX and Studio laptops including new GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPUs; introducing GeForce RTX 3050 graphics cards; highlighting a bunch of games enhanced by RTX and Reflex technologies; debuting new G-SYNC displays; bringing cloud gaming to your living room TV and 5G mobile devices via GeForce NOW; illustrating how NVIDIA Studio is helping build the next digital frontier with NVIDIA Omniverse; and much more!”
The RTX 3050 Desktop GPU
In what would have been the low-cost option in the RTX 30 Series lineup in normal times, the new RTX 3050 is being announced with a starting price of $249, and brings 2560 CUDA cores and 8 GB GDDR6 to the table.
Today, we revealed the GeForce RTX 3050, bringing the performance and efficiency of the NVIDIA Ampere architecture to more gamers than ever before. RTX 3050 graphics cards come equipped with 2nd generation RT Cores for ray tracing, 3rd gen Tensor Cores for DLSS and AI, and 8GB of GDDR6. For the first time, you can play ray traced games on a 50-class GPU at over 60 frames per second. It starts at just $249, and is coming worldwide from all of our partners on January 27th.
RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPUs
In the “graphics cards you can actually buy” category, meaning mobile, NVIDIA has two new offerings, including a very impressively-specified RTX 3080 Ti.
The flagship 80 Ti class of GPUs comes to laptops for the first time with the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU. Featuring 16GB of the fastest GDDR6 ever shipped in a laptop, the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti delivers higher performance than the desktop TITAN RTX. RTX 3080 Ti laptops start at $2499.
Ti is now coming to the fastest growing class of laptop GPUs, with the new GeForce RTX 3070 Ti. Up to 70% faster than the previous-gen GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER, the new GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU offers a significant upgrade for anyone needing excellent 1440p performance. GeForce RTX 3070 Ti laptops start at $1499.
