Cooler Master Updates Their Ultrawide VA Panels With The GM34-CWQ ARGB
Do You Prefer Your Quantum Dots At 144Hz?
Cooler Master have retired their ultrawide GM34-CW after two years on the market, replacing it with the GM34-CWQ ARGB. As the name implies there are RGBs on the base to ensure your monitor matches your system. The 34″ screen is 1440 x 3440 21:9 with a 1500R curve and is certified for both the various flavours of FreeSync and G-SYNC. The Quantum Dot display offers a 4000:1 contrast ratio and 400 nits of brightness.
Kitguru were glad to see that Cooler Master upgraded the GM34-CWQ ARGB with a metal stand and slimmer bezels that do make this new version feel more professional. On the other hand the response rates are not improved, though the new monitor is not worse than the original.
Back in 2020, Cooler Master launched its first ever gaming monitor, the ultrawide GM34-CW. Today, nearly two years later, the company is back with the GM34-CWQ ARGB. Sporting a 3440×1440 curved VA panel, on paper it may not look like much has changed compared to the original model.
