Sonos Ray, A Tiny Soundbar

Designed To Hide Under A Display Of Some Type

The Sonos Ray measures 56 x 7 x 9.5 cm (22 x 2.8 x 3.7″) and weighs a mere 1.95 kg (4.29 lb) so it will hide under a small TV or sit under your monitor on your desk.  The Sonos Ray can connect via ethernet, 802.11n, 2.4 GHz wireless, AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect and TOSLINK optical.  That list may be long but it is missing something very important, there is no HDMI connector; let alone an HDMI ARC connection.

If that omission doesn’t immediately turn you off of this soundbar then you will be glad to hear both Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS Digital Surround are supported.  It also plays nicely with other Sonos speakers if you want to connect it to an existing system or if later you’d like to expand your collection later on.  The onboard touch controls and the mobile app are both easy and intuitive to use, which is handy if you do pick this soundbar up.

TechPowerUp’s full review of the Sonos Ray can be found here.

The Sonos Ray is the most compact and least expensive soundbar Sonos currently offers. It's small enough to fit even under a monitor and brings with it all of the features of the most advanced multiroom speaker system in the world.
