ROCCAT Burst Pro Air, Possibly The Brightest Mouse On The Planet
Mousing In The Dark?
Do you have a need for a mouse that outshines the competition, not just due to the stage 4 RGBitis but also a PixArt PAW3370 sensor and ROCCAT’s own Titan optical switches. That sensor is capable of sensitivity ranging from 50–19,000 CPI and the wireless mouse has a top polling rate of 1000MHz, which should be enough for just about anyone . In theory the Burst Pro Air offers 100 hours of battery life, though that is when using it in Bluetooth mode instead of 2.4GHz wireless, and with all lighting disabled.
As far as the quality of the Burst Pro Air, TechPowerUp found a bit of an odd mix. The build quality is impressive and they only had good things to say about the switches, sensors and feet. On the other hand it seems that the software might need some work, as the polling rate is unstable and there is a fair amount of click latency. Then again, you aren’t going to find many brighter mice on the market.
More than a year after the original Burst Pro, ROCCAT presents the wireless Burst Pro Air. Equipped with PixArt's PAW3370 sensor, the 81 g Burst Pro Air promises up to 100 hours of battery life, and comes with 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity. Optical switches for the main buttons and pure PTFE feet are still on board, too.
