CES 2023: NVIDIA Announces the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti at $799 USD

The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Launches in 2 Days
During their GeForce Beyond at CES 2023 presentation, NVIDIA made the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti official, including its $799 USD starting MSRP. You can watch the replay of the event on YouTube at this link, (timestamped to the beginning of the 4070 Ti announcement).
The announcement was devoid of detailed specs, though enterprising enthusiasts could obtain these from the TechPowerUp database. Citing TPU, the new GPU features 7680 CUDA Cores, with a Base Clock of 2310 MHz and a Boost Clock of 2610 MHz. The 12GB of memory are GDDR6X at 21 Gbps, and with its 192-bit memory bus bandwidth will be just over 500 GB/s; a notable drop from the ~716 GB/s of the RTX 4080 and its 256-bit interface.
The most interesting part of the announcement is the claim that this RTX 4070 Ti is faster than a 3090 Ti, while consuming about half the power. A bold claim, but not as bold as the 3x faster than a 3090 Ti slide (clearly factoring in DLSS 3.0 + FG), which will surely be tested as critically as the claims about RTX 30 Series performance (remember, the RTX 3080 was advertised as 2x faster than the RTX 2080).
We won’t have to wait long for performance numbers from your favorite outlets. Stay tuned.
