232-Layer B58R Flash And A PS5026-E26 Controller

Your PCIe 5.0 slot will now have something worthy of being plugged into it now that Phison has provided a PCIe 5.0 SSD.  The spiel states that the drive is capable of 10,000 MB/s random read and write or 1.4 million IOPS read and 1.5 million IOPS write if you prefer, at least for the 2TB and 4TB models.  The 1TB is only slightly slower if you wanted a less expensive option.

TweakTown tested the drive on both AMD and Intel based systems, and there is little that can come close to the performance of the Phison PS5026-E26. In real world testing the drive far surpasses the competition, with only the Samsung 990 Pro 2TB coming close.  If you depend on huge throughput for your applications then this makes for a good investment.  If you are just gaming on it, the price that Sabrent and others that will use this configuration will charge might not be worth it compared to a less expensive PCIe 4.0 SSD.

Then again, these scores will certainly give you bragging rights!

Just as they were with PCIe Gen4, Phison is once again the first to bring PCIe Gen5 SSDs for mass consumption. 10,000 MB/s, oh yeah!
