What Can Brown Do For You

Be in awe of the glory of the RTX 4080 Noctua OC; personal taste dictating if that feeling is awesome or awful.   The card comes with a premium, the MSRP of $1650 is hard to type and is $450 more than the stock RTX 4080.  The mild factory overclock doesn’t justify the price, a mere 90MHz on the GPU is the only non-standard clock on the card.  That just leaves those fancy fans, cooler and backplate to justify the cost.

If you value peace and quiet then perhaps the premium is worth it, with the Quiet BIOS enabled the card never broached 23.6dBA.  The fact that TechPowerUp didn’t see any significant performance from the card when they switched to the Quiet BIOS makes this even better.  Performance-wise it beats out the reference RTX 4080 by a small margin, and does so with significantly less audible complaining.

If you can stomach the price you can get more information on the RTX 4080 Noctua OC in their full review.

ASUS x Noctua is back! This time the GeForce RTX 4080 gets the low-noise treatment, with impressive results. Testing in our review confirms that even at full load, running at 4K with more than 60 FPS, the card is nearly inaudible! We measured less than 24 dBA, which is quieter than the room you're sitting in right now.
