Try RTX Video Super Resolution, With AI And Machine Learning

The new NVIDIA driver comes with an unexpected surprise, the ability to make just about any old online video look better than the original.  If your GPU is a new GeForce RTX 30 or 40 series you will now have some new options in the Adjust Video Settings portion of your driver that allows you to enable Super resolution on video content.

There are four levels, with just about any of those GPUs able to handle the lowest setting and RTX 2070/3070 should be able to handle the highest setting without much impact on other applications.  If you do see some reduction in the performance of other apps when watching your improved videos, just drop down a level.   When it is enabled, at any level, your card will automagically fix blocky compression artifacts and upscale the video resolution all the way to 4K if your hardware can support it.

In addition to improving your cat videos, this driver significantly improves Atomic Heart performance when DLSS 3 is enabled.  It will also enable NVIDIA DLSS, Reflex and hardware-accelerated ray tracing on the beta for THE FINALS, an online team based FPS that looks somewhat interesting.  The development team from Embark Studios consists of the developers from the Battlefield series at EA Dice and it shows in the trailer.  You can take a peek at the trailer on YouTube, after updating your driver so you can upscale it, of course.

Available today with the new Game Ready Driver, RTX Video Super Resolution uses AI and RTX Tensor Cores to improve the quality of video watched in a Chrome or Edge browser by removing blocky compression artifacts and upscaling video resolution.
