Got A Foldable Phone? Why Not Try The Acemagic X1 Dual-Screen Laptop Too
Would You Like A Second Screen That Can Fold 360 degrees Horizontally?
The Acemagic X1 is not the only dual screen laptop on the market but it is probably the only one where the second screen has 360 degrees of travel along one axis. The laptop also ships with replaceable membranes for different keyboard layouts, an interesting addition to an already fairly unique laptop. The components are lacklustre, a 12th Gen Intel Core i7-1255U, 16GB of DDR4 memory and a 1TB PCIe 3.0 SSD. There are two USB-C ports, however one is strictly for charging and the other limited to 5Gbps, finally it offers HDMI 2.0 out if you want to add to your two screens.
Guru of 3D wasn’t overly impressed with the 14″ displays, they are 1080p that can’t quite manage 70% of the sRGB colour spectrum. They are certainly good enough for productivity and less discerning eyeballs certainly won’t notice a lack of colour. It is certainly an innovative laptop, but with a roughly $900 price tag Acemagic did have to make many design decisions secondary to the addition of a second folding screen.
This model introduces a distinctive twist on dual-screen functionality. Instead of the usual setup, the Acemagic X1's second screen folds out horizontally to the side. This design replicates a dual-monitor desktop setup, offering more screen space while keeping the laptop portable.
