Three XMP At 1.45V To Chose From

The distinctive look of Patriot Viper Xtreme 5 is ready for your next Intel build, though you could try to overclock the DIMMs from their JEDEC settings to try to hit DDR5-6000.  It would be a bit of a waste as the kit is built to run at DDR5-8200 and the ~$190 price tag reflects that.  The Patriot Viper Xtreme will also appeal to those of us who appreciate a lack of RGBs, for these DIMMs are dim.

The timings of 38-48-48-84-12 allow the kit to be occasionally beat by lower frequency DIMMs with tighter timing but generally you will find this kit at the top of TechPowerUp’s test results.  Patriot definitely got the most they could out of this silicon, TPU was able to reduce tCAS to 34 but required 1.65V to give you a stable system, which means you would need to watercool the RAM to keep it running at acceptable temperatures.

Pop on over for all the details.

Patriot continues to expand the Viper Xtreme 5 series, targeting PC enthusiasts and the XOC crowd. This DDR5-8200 kit includes three XMP profiles to really dial in the performance. We pushed this memory to DDR5-9000! Follow along as we break down the benefits of this kit and how you can take advantage of it.
