ASRock Offers The Steel Legend SL-850G PSU For Your Consideration
Introducing The ASRock Steel Legend Series Of PSUs
Here at PCPer we are fans of ASRock motherboards, which have come a long way since they first hit the market and are now generally a beautiful mix of features and value. ASRock is extending their product line to include four Steel Legend PSUs which range from 1000W down to 650W, of which the SL-850G model is up for review on KitGuru. The PSU is fully modular, including the ATX plug, offers a 10 year warrant, bears a 80 Plus Gold rating and was designed and built by HEC.
In testing this ATX3.1 and PCIe5.1 ready PSU performed admirably, the fan never passes 37.3dBA and only reaches that at around a 90% load. The exhaust of the PSU was measured at 58C and the energy efficiency was closer to a Platinum rating than the less Gold standard. The power delivery was also solid, in fact the only down side to the SL-850G is that it is very hard to find for sale.
Today we take a look at a new power supply from ASRock, the Steel Legend SL-850G. This fully modular unit has achieved Cybenetics Platinum ratings, is ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 compliant and comes equipped with Japanese capacitors. ASRock offer a 10 year warranty to support this supply.

Didn’t know Asrock made PSU’s? I wonder if it’s a global product.. anyone knows?
I didn’t either! I didn’t say it was their first to avoid someone crawling out from under a rock to point out they made one three years ago that no one remembers or heard of.
