Beware! There Is No Current Subnautica 2 Playtest!

Don’t Click On Links Random Strangers Send You In Steam!

It’s been said before and will have to be said again, no matter how tempting they might be you should never click on links sent to you by random strangers.  For that matter you might want to think twice before clicking links sent to you by familiar contacts either!  This reminder is thanks to a current scam running on Steam which claims to provide a link to playtests for Subnautica 2.  There is no current way to test out Subnautica 2, clicking the links will only lead to pain.

Early access does kick off later this year, but be warned that Unknown Worlds Entertainment have already stated Subnautica 2 will be in Early Access for several years.  When it does become available you will be able to access it from the Steam page, not some rando’s messages.   One of the reasons it might take a while to officially launch is that it will support  four player co-op, which is new to the series.

Rock, Paper, SHOTGUN posted the announcement trailer if you happen to have missed it, and it sure does look pretty (scary).

The developers of upcoming survival game Subnautica 2 have warned fans that some dastardly do-badders are sending "fraudulent invites" to a playtest for the game via Steam messages.
