It’s All About Panther Lake And 18A

ServeTheHome is visiting Intel’s Foundry Direct Connect 2025 event, and have some details to share.  The discussions focus on their current and upcoming fabrication processes, with Panther Lake and their 18A node being the stars of 2025.  18A is fully on track for release and like their 10nm process it will come in several flavours over and  above the chips slated for release this year.  18A-P will be for the general market, and should be good for a variety of tasks while 18A-PT with it’s TSV design will be Intel’s new high end line.

They also revealed their plans for taking a portion of the AI market.  EMIB 2.5D will be Intel’s alternative to the large silicon interposers currently dominating the market. They feel that the reduced cost and faster fabrication times will make their product more attractive than NVIDIA’s, hoping to beat them with scalability and availability instead of through pure performance.
