We Finally See Something From The Acquisition of MOUNTAIN

be quiet! acquired MOUNTAIN back in 2022, but we haven’t seen any results from that move until now, with the release of the Dark Mount and Light Mount gaming keyboards.  They are both mechanical keyboards, but as you might expect from be quiet! the switches are not loud, nor do they provide much in the way of tactile feedback. They also have per-key RGB lights, which can be programmed using the IO Center software, which NikKTech had no issues with.  That is where most of the similarities end however.

The Dark Mount offers a detachable numpad, with a more robust solution than MOUNTAIN used, and removable wristpads for both the main body of the keyboard as well as the numpad.  It also has a removable LCD media dock which can glow, display a picture and offers programmable buttons you can assign applications to. If that wasn’t enough there are also eight programmable buttons on the numpad for even more shortcuts.

The Light Mount lacks the media dock, but has a 3D media wheel, a mute key and five macro keys on the far left.  The wristpad and numpad on the Light Mount are both solid designs as the numpad on this model is not removable; the wristpad still is if you prefer not to use it.

The two first gaming keyboards launched under the be quiet! name are the Light & Dark Mount and yes, they’re finally here.
