Pump Up Your Headphones Or Speakers

Fosi Audio should be a relatively familiar name by now, as we’ve seen several of their amps reviewed here at PC Perspective and other sites.  They specialize in small form factor amps which tend to be quite affordable and offer a decent amount of options.  The Fosi Audio K7 Gaming DAC/Amp continues this trend, with quite a few features crammed into a small device.  The K7 offers Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C, microphone, coaxial and optical inputs, which can be outputted to an unbalanced 600mW 3.5 mm jack, balanced Pentaconn at 2.1W and RCA if you want to try connecting speakers.  The listed sampling depths are PCM 24bit/48kHz on Bluetooth 5.0 and up to 32bit/384kHz over USB.

One new feature added to the Fosi Audio K7 is a small LCD display which is needed to let you know what settings the two knobs are set to.  The first know controls the output while the second acts as an equalizer.  You can also use the power button to toggle the USB between UAC 1 which is perfect for a microphone or gaming consoles and UAC 2 which gives your headphones the full sampling rate for headphones or speakers.

OCInside tried it out and while they weren’t blown away they did enjoy the experience.  Check out the full review for more details.

New K7 Gaming DAC Headphone Amp from Fosi Audio! The Fosi Audio K7 combines the function of a digital-to-analog converter and amplifier in one compact device, so it takes up very little space on your desk. With the AKM AK4493SEQ, it has a powerful off-the-shelf DAC chip and not a discrete solution. The attribute of being geared towards gaming in addition to music is interesting, which predestines it on OCinside.de for a practical test in the localization of sound sources.
