The Frozr Active Cooling System Looks Huge Next To It!

Fans of ITX systems should take a look at The FPS Review’s MSI MPG B850I EDGE TI WIFI article, as it might just be the next motherboard for you.  Among the highlights are a Gen5 PCIe slot, a single Gen5 M.2 slot along with a Gen4, 5Gbps Ethernet, WiFi 7, a 20Gbps USB-C port, and a second 10Gbps USB-C port.  Those who hate dealing with case header pins and dislike the aesthetics of small cords running to the motherboard will love the EZ Front Panel Cable and the 1 to 3 EZ Conn-Cable which combines the fan power connectors and RGB cables into a single cable.

The small size doesn’t impact performance at all, with their test parts hitting the same speeds as on full sized boards.  The installation of parts is a little more fun, as your fingers don’t have much room to work with, but The FPS Review didn’t run into any huge issues setting up their test system.  The $250 price tag is a little higher than most B580 boards, but if you want to build a tiny system with all the performance and most of the features of a larger model, the MPG B850I EDGE TI WIFI could be worth the investment.

Today, we are going small on our test bench with the new MSI MPG B850I EDGE TI WIFI. This is one of MSI’s latest ITX form factors, and the first ITX for us on the current AMD platform. Normally, we don’t associate an ITX motherboard with high performance, but this one has all the looks of a contender for a go-to ITX motherboard.
