Alienware Pro, 4KHz Polling On A Wireless Gaming Mouse

32 Hours of Battery at a 4KHz Polling Rate Isn’t Bad At All

If you prefer your mouse without a tail but still need an insane polling rate then the Alienware Pro might be something you want to check out.  It uses the PixArt PAW3395 optical sensor with DPI adjustable from 100 to 26000 DPI and if 4K polling isn’t enough for you then plug in it’s two meter USB-A to USB-C nylon braided cable and you can pump that up to 8K polling.

You might want to stick with the settings that the Alienware Pro has out of the box though, the Alienware Command Center app which lets you customize your mouse is described by TweakTown as “borderline bloatware when paired with a single device like this.”  The other bad news is the price, at $150 it is a bit of an investment.  Then again if you are looking for a wireless mouse capable of 4K polling over a wireless connection you don’t have a lot of choice.

A fast, responsive, and lightweight pro-grade wireless gaming mouse from Alienware that is let down a little by its relatively heavy software.
