Do You Prefer Lights In Your Aquarium, Or No?

The be quiet! Light Base 500 LX looks very similar to many of the other cases on the market with wrap around glass front and side.  It’s the smallest of the Light Base family, but still roomy at 432 x 305 x 410mm (17 x 12 x 16.1″) and will fit just about any CPU cooler on the market and GPUs up to 410mm, which accounts for the vast majority of them.  It comes with four 120mm fans, three of which are installed on an angle at the front instead of obstructing the view of your components by being flat against the front.

Guru3D did find the fan placement effective at cooling their GPU and while they would have liked some front facing USB, the look of the Light Base 500 LX precludes that option.  The ability to install your PSU in two configurations will appeal to some, but if you are looking to build a custom cooling loop you may want to consider one of the case’s larger siblings.

A key feature of the Light Base 500 (LX) is its diagonal front-right fan mount. This layout uses three reverse-leaf 120 mm fans angled toward the graphics card, directing airflow more efficiently to improve thermal management.
